You may be aware that the government and the NHS have put GP practices at the forefront in delivering the covid vaccine to the community to try and both stem the infection rate , protect individuals and save lives.
We are involved in vaccinating our patients on a daily basis in lines with government directions on age bands and those most at risk. This is being done , with current GP and other staffing levels ,while at the same time trying to continue to provide as much of a normal service to our patients as we can .
I am sure you will agree that the vaccine distribution, saving lives and getting the country back on its feet is a priority and with this in mind, patients will need to recognise that during this time there will be a disruption to normal service, be this around accessing GP appointments, answering of telephones or getting back to you with non-urgent results.
Please note, within the above constraints, we are open for business as usual. Our nurses / HCAs / phlebotomists have pre-bookable appointments. Our GPs will see you face to face if required after a telephone consultation.
We are doing our best to do all of this, while at the same time losing staff at all levels to illness and isolation from covid.
Please bear with us during this time.
