Appointments with Doctors
Since April 2020 all consultations are now telephone consultations. The doctor will decide on your need for video consultation or need to come to the surgery.
You must explain the reason to the reception for your consultation request (this allows the reception to direct your request to the correct service or put to the appropriate GP and for adequate GP preparation time ).
Consultations are by appointments but these are no longer timed and the doctor may ring you at any time of the morning or afternoon so please keep your phones with you at all times.
Patients can express a preference to telephone consult with a specific practitioner and we will do our best to meet these requests, subject to availability of appointments. However, if that doctor is not available then we will try to put you in with another doctor (again depending on availability).
Appointments can be made by telephoning 020 8771 6050.
Request for doctors’ appointments can also be booked on line (subject to availability).
Please call in to the surgery with photo ID and one of our receptionists will print log in details to enable you to do this.
Some appointments cannot be booked online – e.g. nurses’ appointments, and appointments to see the GP for medical examinations/completion of forms for insurance or employment purposes, steroid injections, coil/implant fittings and children immunisations.
If you cannot keep an appointment, please inform us by telephone, or use your My GP App to cancel, to allow us to make it available to other patients.
(App required on your smartphone)
We advise you to install and keep the “whereby” NHS video consultation app on your smartphone which you can find this at the following links:
Apple – www.apps.apple.com
Android – www.play.google.com
(Did not attend)
The doctors will try at least twice to call you.
If you do not answer the call or do not call us back within 10 minutes of the missed call, then you will miss your appointment and have to rebook for another day.
Make sure that your phone number (preferably mobile) is correct and updated at the GP surgery.
We now offer the facility to book your appointments, order your repeat prescriptions and view your medical summary, medications, allergies and any adverse reactions.
To use this method we must first issue you with a password.
