Medical Students: Physical Exercise Initiative

A group of medical students being trained at the practice are currently working on an initiative to increase physical activity amongst patients.

It is well known that being physically active is beneficial in reducing the risk of a number of diseases, as well as playing a role in slowing progression or in the treatment of many conditions. We have also seen the effect of lockdown and its impact on mental health and wellbeing.

To try and help combat these issues, a set of videos titled “Mind Body Balance”, which includes an introduction to mindfulness and meditative techniques, and an exercise video with different exercises and mindfulness are linked below.

We hope that you find these resources useful and would be grateful if you could complete the short feedback form compiled by the students to assist them in this exercise: Active Practise Post Project Questionnaire.
